Spring is in the air

Spring is here. The rebirth of nature, good weather, fashion going towards showing more skin and pastel colors, birds singing again, the smell of blooming flowers and trees, days getting longer, and lastly, the feeling that summer is coming and that means - there is hope. At least that’s how it has been for me.

I recently conducted an Instagram poll asking my followers which season was their favorite. In the first half of day, fall and winter were in the lead and I questioned where these people lived. I live in New Jersey and it’s definitely not the worst but I also come from a small town in the Ukrainian mountains and that was terrible in the months of December through February. Towards the end of the 24 hour Instagram poll, spring pulled its powers to be the winner and I was happy I wasn’t the only one.

I have always found myself making the bravest choices (good and bad) in the spring and summer time. Moving out. Scoring a job I was denied for 4 times. Falling in love. Not paying an electricity bill because shopping was more important, and finding myself in a dark apartment for 48 hours. Breaking off a good relationship knowing there was something more (and there was). Asking for a promotion. Travel solo for the first time. Starting a blog. All of these were accompanied by more or less fear but I would always go for it anyway. I think higher energy and positive weather around had something to do with it. It’s the results that always made it worthwhile and I never looked back.

To my conclusion, spring is a second chance at New Year's revolutions. Spring into the new you.
