Hi.

Let's go on an adventure!

With so much free time and being able to connect with people I am inspired to write more. My close friend Shar has been posting videos to her YouTube channel and this girl is on a roll. From makeup to fashion, to personal experiences - she  covers it all. So I have been looking up to her with staying consistent in my creativity. When I met Shar last year and got to hear her story, I was highly impressed with her background and still wish one day I get the balls to level up to her. Besides doing YouTube and myself personally knowing Shar, I think there is more the world should know about her than you can get from a video.

Shar is a style and lifestyle blogger currently in living in as she says, “one of the greatest cities in the world, Brooklyn, an artist haven of NYC, but no matter what I’m a West Los Angeles girl for life”.

Straight out of high school she went to study fashion design and business management. She says, “I jumped head first into a design trio of my fellow FiDM Los Angeles colleagues and we created a small ready-to-wear brand. During that time I gained an unmatchable amount of hands on experience with the business of fashion, and the real world grind of the production that goes into apparel making.”

She led with being one of the senior designers and in charge of production management. Majority of her time was spent at the production manufacturers, checking for quality and fit, etc. The brand later went to an international trade show. WHAT!!!! However, with all these tough efforts she still had to do her day job and it wasn’t satisfying.

To me, having the guts and enough trust to get into entrepreneurship at such young age is just WOW! But as she continued her story this is where my jaw dropped even lower.

“In 2014, I dropped everything I was invested in and I moved across the country with a design dream and most of my world in a few suitcases. This leap of faith was a huge milestone in my life, huge. I think the second biggest thing I’ve ever done besides my building my brand,” says Shar. According to her, she had nothing to lose and besides wanting to live in the big apple, she craved to be working with credible designers which wasn’t as common thing in LA.

At this point, I’m sure you imagine how such huge positive life events end up shaping a big part of who we become later and how we carry on with life. Shar is no exception.

“Over the past six years I’ve come to know myself, what drives me, what inspires me, and just how ambition, faith, direction, and knowing your needs vs wants can carry you through any obstacle. At the moment, I’ve been so inspired by watching female business owners pushing through their industries. From real estate to retail, I really enjoy seeing people building their businesses, and I yearn to watch videos of entrepreneurs on platforms like YouTube and Amazon. Also wearable art shows like making the cut, webinars about brand building, and just having talks with my girlfriends who are entrepreneurs, those conversations really drive my soul,” Shar explained. And this is how the YouTube journey started.

“In 2018 I decided I wanted to create my YouTube channel, but I wanted to make sure it was authentic to me, and the things that drove me to love beauty and lifestyle bloggers back in the early social media days. When you would rush home to see a new interview, or blog post, or music video online. I wanted to make sure my channel would be somewhere for people to go and find quick ways for styling their favorite pieces, where they can reinvent their closet to fit the latest trends, and eventually be a haven for women who love style, travel, and healthy lifestyles.”

And this girl just ran with it! Thousands of views and down to earth content. While I mention again that I’m so inspired by her, I got to spend 40 hours a week with Shar at work and not only was she an incredibly successful business decision maker and leader but also a very genuine support system and friend.

She says, “my main objective in life is to ultimately be able to leave behind a legacy for my family, (both present and future) infused with clean living, spiritual wellness, and free spirits. I’m all about vibes, and the law of attraction, as my mom has always instilled in me, you get what you put out into the universe, and I hope that I can leave behind that footprint as well”.
